Cosa muove questo mercato

Corn futures represent one of the most widely traded agricultural commodities in the world, reflecting the price of No. 2 Yellow corn delivered at key U.S. Midwest grain terminals. The United States, Brazil, and Argentina are the dominant producers and exporters, and prices are shaped by planted acreage, weather during the growing season, ethanol blending mandates, livestock feed demand, and global export competition. Corn has a pronounced seasonal price pattern tied to the Northern Hemisphere planting and harvest cycle. The contract is quoted in U.S. cents per bushel on the CME Group's CBOT exchange.

Contesto di mercato

Corn is trading at 518.5 USd per bushel, up about 0.6% on the day and a notable 6.2% on the week. The monthly gain stands at approximately 7.5%, and year-to-date the market has advanced roughly 18.5%. On a year-over-year basis, corn is up about 33.2%, marking one of the stronger annual gains across the agricultural complex.
