Prices are closely linked to soybean prices but are also independently influenced by competing vegetable oil markets (such as palm oil and canola), biofuel mandates and blending policies, and global edible oil demand. The US, Brazil, and Argentina are the dominant producers. The unit for this contract is US cents per pound.
