The United States, Brazil, and Argentina are the dominant producers and exporters of both soybeans and meal, and prices move closely with soybean crush margins and global livestock feed demand. Argentine processing capacity is especially influential in global meal trade. The contract is quoted in U.S. dollars per short ton on the CME Group's CBOT exchange.
