Méthodologie

What this site is. Alternative Markets.AI is a research and information site: market quotes, macroeconomic series, calendars, model estimates and news links, presented for education and research — never advice.

Market data. Commodity, index, share and currency quotes come from Financial Modeling Prep and are delayed/indicative (typically 15–20+ minutes); crypto data (prices, ranks, market caps, volumes, supply, sparklines) comes from CoinGecko. Every table shows the observation time, and rows whose source has gone quiet are flagged stale rather than passed off as current.

Macroeconomic series. Sub-annual series come from official producers via FRED and Eurostat feeds (BLS, BEA, Census/HUD, DOL and national statistics offices); policy rates come from the BIS; government debt uses the IMF World Economic Outlook definition (general government); annual history comes from the World Bank. Each indicator page names its producer and series ID and states the cadence detected from the observations themselves.

Bond yields. 10-year government yields come from official or exchange sources — the US Treasury curve via FRED, Bundesbank, Japan MoF, MOEX — and OECD long-term rate series elsewhere; changes are expressed in percentage points.

Forecasts. Figures labeled forecast are trend-model estimates (v0): linear extrapolation of recent history, point estimates only, no confidence intervals — always labeled model output.

News. Article headlines are aggregated from mainstream outlets and financial news feeds; every item names its publisher and links to the original. Short data briefs and commodity context paragraphs are written in-house with AI assistance from the numbers on this site and are labeled accordingly. See the Editorial Policy.

AI assistance. Portions of the site's editorial content and data compilation are produced with AI-assisted research; figures are indicative and may be out of date — always verify with primary sources.

Refresh cadence. Quotes and news refresh hourly; the economic calendar every three hours; macro series daily; annual datasets weekly. Missing values are shown as "—" when a source has not published a figure, never invented.
