The 10-Year U.S. Treasury Note futures contract represents a standardized agreement to buy or sell a U.S. government debt security with an original maturity of approximately ten years. It is one of the most widely watched benchmarks in global fixed income markets, with prices driven by Federal Reserve interest rate expectations, inflation data, economic growth outlook, and demand from domestic and foreign investors. Because bond prices move inversely to yields, a rising futures price typically signals falling market interest rates and vice versa.
